Salvatore (Sam) Sorrenti, 87, resident of Glendale, Wisconsin, found peace on Tuesday, December 1st.
He was survived by his loving wife, Sarah (Azzolina) Sorrenti, to whom he was married to for 67 years. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Salvatore, was the son of the late Frank and Lucia (Maddente) Sorrenti.
Salvatore was an honored veteran of the United States Army and humbly served his country during the Korean War. He was so happy to be able to go on the honor flight in 2018.
He started his work career in his mother?s pizzeria on Brady Street, ?Mama Lu?s?, where he also met his lovely wife, Sarah. He retired from his work career as a salesman.
He was a devoted father to Cindy (Bruce) Michalovitz, the late Salvatore Sorrenti, Jr., and Sandra Sorrenti and Peter Eggers. He was a loving ?Papa? to Bruce ?Bruno? (Stephanie) Michaloviz, Nick Michalovitz, Lisa (KaJuan) Ellis and Ryan Eggers. He was also a loving great ?Papa? to Anna, Anthony, Kennedy and Caden and a great great ?Papa? to Armani.
He loved to be surrounded by his family during Sunday spaghetti dinners, holiday celebrations, birthdays, and Sunday football games. He loved horses, horse racing and always loved to tell a good story. He loved and cherished his family and was very proud of the family him and his wife created.
Join us to celebrate his life on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Holy Family Church, 4825 North Wildwood Avenue, Whitefish Bay. Visitation is from 9:30 AM-11:00 AM, mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI to follow.
