William, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City, Michigan. He was born on November 11, 1934 to George and Anna (Jacobs) Stagray in Essexville, Michigan. William married Joan Bouchard in Bay City, Michigan in 1954. He was a farmer, hunter and fisherman. William was a member of the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church.
William is survived by his wife Joan; two sons William Jr. and Roy (Patti) Stagray, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his brother Ron Stagray and his sisters Lucille Cunningham and Norma Collier; William is survived by his wife Joan; two sons William Jr. and Roy (Patti) Stagray, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his brother Ron Stagray and his sisters Lucille Cunningham and Norma Collier; sister-in law-Regina Stagray. He was preceded in death by six brothers, one sister and daughter-in-law Cheryl (Bill Jr) Stagray.
Funeral services will be held at the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Standish on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Father Christopher Coman will officiate the service, with burial in the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the R. O. Savage Funeral Chapel in Standish on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM prayer service. William will lie in state on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
