  [S5] Obituary. Alice Louise Dufresne, 86, of Sanford, died peacefully Sept. 18, 2013, at her son's home in Edenville. She was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Essexville, daughter of the late Leo and Antoinette (LaLonde) Bouchard. On April 28, 1945, she married Carl L. Dufresne in Essexville. Alice worked at Prestolite for 20 years before moving to Sanford and opening the Meridian Fish Market. Alice and her husband owned and operated the market for over 48 years. She was known by "Ma" to all her customers. She is survived by her children, Tom (Martha) Dufresne of San Angelo, Texas, Larry (Wanda) Dufresne of Holland, Kim (Cathy) Dufresne of Hasting, and Roger (Jill) Dufresne of Edenville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and by brothers and sisters, Lea (Kenneth) Tollefsrud of Essexville, Mary (Charles) Militello of Bay City, Rose (Thomas) Marchand of Florida, Jeanette Stagray of Essexville, Leo (Marion) Bouchard of Essexville, and Kenneth (Nancy) Bouchard of Essexville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, on May 29, 2003; an infant son, Carl, Jr.; and by sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and John Ryers, Adele and Virgil Stagray, Joan and William Stagray, and Norman Stagray. Private family services will take place and interment will be in Midland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Directors
