GAMACHE, Jean-Paul 1921 - 2009 In his residence in Montreal, on the night of January 11, 2009, surrounded by the love and prayers of his beloved wife, Jean-Paul Gamache passed away peacefully, formerly a member of the Congregation of Christian Schools. Holder of a higher education certificate, a master's degree in teaching English and a master's degree in administration from New York University ?, he worked in Quebec and was then co-founder, director and teacher at De LaSalle College. from Douala, Cameroon, for twenty years, and at Collège Charles-Lemoyne on the South Shore of Montreal. This institution underlined his remarkable forty-year career with young people around the world with a vibrant tribute upon his retirement. He continued his work as an educator as an associate in his wife's family therapy consultation office, in terms of administration and reception. Pride of his family and his in-laws as son, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, uncle and great-uncle, he became the model and the unifier. He is survived by his brothers Fernand (Thérèse Robert) and Roland-Marcel (Pauline Laliberté), his sister Gisèle (late Claude Charbonneau), his sister-in-law Monique Voyer (late Raynald Gamache), many cousins, nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces of the Gamache and Laurin families. He also cultivated a great loyalty to the people crossed on his long journey. Several have become friends. His door was always open to receive and encourage them. He would have celebrated in June 2009 the twenty-fifth year of his marriage to Laurette Laurin. He was a loving, generous, patient, caring husband who was always open to renewal. He bequeathed to him and to all who knew him his faith in God and his love of life. The mortal remains will be on display on Wednesday, January 14 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday, January 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday, January 16 from 9 a.m. to The funeral will be on Friday, 16 January 2009, at 11 a.m., in the Saint-Édouard church located rue Saint-Denis, corner Beaubien. Interment will follow at the Laval Cemetery, 5505, chemin Bas St-François, Laval. His wife wishes to underline the competence and dedication of the home care team of CLSC Petite Patrie, in particular Lise Daviault, pivot nurse and doctor Luc Courtemanche, specialist in palliative care, she warmly thanks them. Donations to the APCFQ (Association of conjugal and family psychotherapists of Quebec) would be appreciated. Forms will be provided on site.
