LIVINGSTON Patricia Ann Murphy age 63, former longtime Galveston resident died Thursday, December 31,2009 at Pine Ridge Health Care Center in Livingston. Funeral services are 11:00 am Thursday, January 13, 2010 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. The family will receive visitors begining at 9:00 am Thursday.
Patricia was born March 7, 1946 in Galveston, Texas to Rufus Hilton Young and Ena Irene Carter Young. She was a graduate of Ball High School. She was a professional artist, owner of ?Art From The Heart? studio in Galveston.
She was honored with a listing in Notable Women of Texas. She received invitations to travel with her art to France on several occasions.
Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include her husband, Patrick L. Murphy; daughter, Bettie A. Lambert and husband Alan; son, Patrick H. Murphy and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Nicholas Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Jerry Barnes, Heather Barnes, Ashley Barnes, Brandon Redmon, and Chelsea Redmon; sister, Shirley J. Young; nephew, Christopher J. Young, niece, Sonia Gamache; great nieces, Ashley Lynch, Elizabeth Christensen, Heather Gamache, and Kristen Gamache, great nephew, Anthony Gamache; great-great nieces, Faith Elizabeth Gamache, and Brooklyn Michelle Gamache; great-great nephews, Payton Silliman, Jude Dillan Sanchez, and Jacob Paul Gamache.
