Judith Laura Gamache
It is with heartfelt sadness the family of Judith Laura Gamache announces her passing on June 22,2023.
Judy was born on July 16, 1953 in Dauphin, MB to Jack and Edna Secord. Judy grew up in the eclipse district of Dauphin before her family moved into the town of Dauphin. She had many memories of helping her parents on the mail route. When she was younger, she liked to travel. She went out west and made her way to Hay River NWT. She liked it up north and stayed to take her nurses training.
After returning to Manitoba, she met and married her love Adrien in 1978. They settled in the Laurier area where they raised their four children. Years later they moved to McCreary.
Judy worked as an LPN for 25 years, giving care to many at the Ste. Rose Gendreau Home, McCreary Hospital and PCH and Neepawa Eastview Lodge. She also spent a few years working at the McCreary School as an EA helping students.
One of her greatest joys were her grandkids and family. She would do anything to get a smile out of her grandkids. It gave her much happiness to be called Granny. She also dearly loved her roses, which reminded her of her mother. In later years she enjoyed her love of gardening and creating her flower beds. During the early morning hours, you would find her outside sitting with Adrien having coffee and listening to the birds sing.
She found great comfort in her faith and was very devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Judy was predeceased by her parents Jack and Edna Secord and her brother Greg
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Adrien, her children; Stephan (Marianne), Rhonda (Ryan), Amanda, Tim (Jenna). Her precious 6 grandkids; Lily and Lucas, Everett and Austin, Maddie and Zoey. Her sister Carol (Larry) Tardiff, her brother Brent Secord, her sister in-law Russella Secord as well as many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Judith will be held on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at 11:00 am in the McCreary Municipal Cemetery. Pastors Ray and Leslie Johnson will officiate.
