Fernand Lionel Gamache "Fern"
1930 ? 2009
Fernand, "Fern," was born in McCreary, Manitoba and grew up in Laurier, Manitoba with his 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Fern had several careers in his life including a being a journeyman carpenter, homebuilder, grocery store owner, construction site general foreman and a men's wear clothing store owner. He met his wife in 1968, and they were married May 9, 1969. Fernn was a man who faced challenges with courage and dignity. He enjoyed woodworking, the Kootenay Ice and travelling in their motorhome.
Fern passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 78 years of age.
He is survived by his wife 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Phillipe and Jeanne Gamache and a brother Gerald.
Prayers for Fern took place at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 7:00 pm. His funeral mass was held at Christ The Servant Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
