Deceased Name: Lucille A. Sylvester, Nashua Owned Gravel Trucking Co. in Nashua
Lucille A. Sylvester, 85, of Nashua, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Sylvester was born May 10, 1920, in Lowell, Mass., daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Markarian) Charpentier. She was a longtime resident of Nashua.
She was the widow of her first husband, Joseph Hagerty, and her second husband, William Sylvester.
Mrs. Sylvester had worked at Jackson Mills and Sprague Electric. She later owned and operated Gravel Trucking Co. in Nashua until the early 1980s.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved music, especially Elvis. She was an avid shopper.
Mrs. Sylvester was a communicant of St. Louis Church in Nashua.
She was educated in Nashua at St. Aloysius School, and graduated from there.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Irene Meunier.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Arthur Gamache of Nashua; a son, David Hagerty of Nashua; two brothers, Roland Charpentier of Nashua and Walter Charpentier of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren, Deborah Martel of Merrimack, Lynn Dumont and her husband, Kevin, Bruce Gamache, Steven Gamache and his wife, Deloria, and Carlton Hagerty, all of Nashua, and Allen Hagerty and David Hagerty Jr., both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six great-grandchildren, Amy and Molly Martel, both of Merrimack, Philip and Ryan Gamache, and Ryan Hagerty, all of Nashua, and Justin Hagerty of St. Petersburg; and a niece and her husband, Marilyn and James Hagerty of Jackman, Maine.
The St. Laurent Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of the arrangements.
