Thomas J Stempihar, 62 of Franklin Kentucky, passed away Saturday November 19th, 2011 after a battle with cancer.
Tom was employed at Old Kentucky Leathers of Franklin Kentucky as Research and Development Manager. He was well known in the leather industry and considered to be one of the best in the country.
An avid golfer and bowler he had a long list of accomplishments in both. He was loved and respected by many and best known for his great sense of humor, smile, outgoing personality and his never give up attitude which he displayed to the very end.
He is survived by his children Mary Gartman, Two Rivers, Joanne Stempihar, Sheboygan, Jerry Stempihar, Sheboygan. Grandchildren Kristin Gartman, Lauren Gartman, Josh Gartman, Jered Gartman, Jocelyn Love and Donovan Love. Brothers and sisters, August (Gus) Stempihar (Marianne), Pat Krohn, Oshgosh, Mickey Stempihar, Sheboygan, Carol Klunk, Elgin Texas, Eddie Stempihar, Houston Texas, Judith Garcia, Racine. Along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents August Sr. And Agnes Stempihar.
Per Tom's wishes there will be no services and he will be creamated.
Tom will be missed by many and in our hearts always. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of the great friends that surrounded him in Kentucky. Especially Mike and Kim Rayner and Lisa Howlett owner of Old Kentucky Leathers.
