Rita Gamache (born Fortier)
At the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, on August 5, 2022, at the age of 94, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, Mrs. Rita Fortier, wife of the late Mr. Gérard Gamache. She was the daughter of the late Dame Carmelle Talbot and the late Mr. Alfred Fortier. She lived at Résidence Saint-Étienne in Lévis and shared her life for the past 13 years with her friend the late Joseph Payeur.
She is survived by her daughter Lucie (Roger Pageau); his grandchildren: Martin, Benoît and Bruno Pageau as well as their respective spouses; his great-grandchildren: Pier-Alexandre, Marie-Eve, Claudie, Maxim, Ellie, Noah and Lydia; his sister Carmelle Fortier; his nieces: Linda, Brigitte, Carole and Josée Duguay; his brothers-in-law Raymond Gamache (Lise Ruel) and Jean-Noël Gamache (Monique Lapointe), as well as several nephews and nieces of the Gamache family. In addition to her large family, she leaves to mourn a multitude of friends and acquaintances who were dear to her.
According to her wishes, she was entrusted to the crematorium.
The family wishes to thank Mrs. Johanne Roy for her great understanding towards her, as well as all the staff of the Résidence Saint-Étienne for their help and support to make her last years of life easier and more pleasant. We greatly appreciate your dedication to him. A very special mention to his friend Mrs. Marthe Beaudoin for her attentive listening. We would also like to thank his two doctors who were able to accompany him with kindness and humanism.
