Delima Gamache Portrait of acadie_nouvelle By: L'Acadie NOUVELLE nouvelle@acadienouvelle.com BATHURST - At the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the age of 86, passed away Delima Gamache, wife of the late Gilles Gamache. She lived in Bathurst. Born in Anse-Bleue, she was the daughter of the late Édouard and Louise (Arsenault) Chamberlain. She is survived by five sons: Roger (Anne) of Bathurst, Gérard (Halina) of Sudbury, Ont., Alcide of Bathurst, Eugène (Louise) of Beresford and Léo (Pauline) of Bathurst; one daughter, Monique of Bathurst; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. A son, Yvan; she was predeceased by three brothers: Clifford, Nicholas and Théophile, as well as a sister, Adèle. She was the last living member of her immediate family. The remains will be on display beginning at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, at Elhatton Funeral Home in Bathurst (www.elhatton.com). The funeral will be held in the chapel of Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst, with Father Emard Duguay officiating, on Wednesday August 25 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours: Tuesday, August 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. In memory of Délima, donations can be made to the Bathurst Emergency Shelter or to a charity of your choice.
