REDOUTEY LAWRENCE C. "LARRY" Age 81, passed away peacefully at home in Clinton Twp, Michigan on June 18, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Mary (McGonegal) for 59 years. Dearest father of James (Kathleen) Redoutey, Laura Redoutey (Bill Welch), MaryAnn Redoutey, Patricia (Robert) Voakes, John Redoutey and Joseph (Anne Marie) Redoutey. Special uncle to Alberto Gonzalez. Dear grandfather of James Redoutey, Jaclyn Redoutey, Angela (Garth) Jackson, Robert Voakes, Douglas Voakes, Rachel (Jeff) Rakunas, Ryan (Tara Mandeville) Redoutey, Katelyn Redoutey, Kelsey Redoutey, Maria Redoutey, Jennie Redoutey, Kristin Redoutey, Mike (Emily) Welch and Mark Welch and great grandchildren Owen Rakunas, Karsyn Redoutey, London and Finley Welch and proud uncle of 36 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyle and Helen (Foss) Redoutey and siblings: Justin (Mary) Redoutey, Francis Redoutey, Alvin (Elaine) Redoutey, Rosemary (William) Jordan and Marylin (Charles) Burman. Also survived by sister-in-law Clara Redoutey. Larry graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1948 and University of Detroit with a BBA in 1954 and MBA in 1974. He was the longtime CFO at Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Pointe retiring in 1990. He consulted for the hospital and its employees for many years and was a proud lifetime HFMA member. He was a member of St. Margaret parish in St. Clair Shores for over 50 years and loved his childhood parish Nativity of Our Lord in Detroit. After his career at Bon Secours, he helped establish the Center for Good Health, a homeless shelter and medical clinic for women and children in Detroit. He spent countless hours and resources doing what he loved, helping others. Our family thanks Hospice of Michigan and our home care providers for their help in the past few months as Larry passed away at home as he wished. Memorial visitation at Kaul Funeral Home on Friday, June, 29, 2012 from 3 - 9 p.m. at 35201 Garfield in Clinton Twp, MI and Memorial Mass at St. Margaret Catholic Church at 21201 13 Mile in St. Clair Shores on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with 10 a.m. Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice or two of Larry's favorites: ARC Services of Macomb or Nativity of our Lord Church at 5900 McClellan, Detroit, MI
