Frances Mary Angle Gavason, 74, Ayden, N.C.

AYDEN, N.C. -- Frances Mary Angle Gavason, 74, of Ayden, passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011.
She was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Montour County, Pa., to the late Theodore R. and Margaret Angle.
Frances grew up in Danville, Pa., and was a graduate of St. Cyril's Academy. She attended Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, N.C., and earned her associate's degree in nursing. She worked as an licensed practical nurse for more than 15 years and as a legal secretary. In addition to working and raising her four children, she traveled with her husband during his 26-year military career.
Frances was a past member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Danville, and St. Monica's Catholic Church in Sunbury, Pa. She was an active member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Greenville.
She enjoyed playing the piano, caring for animals and reading.
Frances is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Master Sgt. Harry H. Gavason, USAF Ret., of Ayden; one son, Thomas Gavason and wife, Becky, of Oxnard, Calif.; three daughters, Anna Raigner, of Washington, N.C., Jane Morris and husband, Romus, of Snow Hill, N.C.; Mary Daddario and husband, Michael, of Northumberland, Pa.; five grandchildren, Christopher Moore and wife, Jessica, Brooks Hale and wife, Kelly, Justin Hale and wife, Julie, Ashley Daddario and Charlie Fazzone; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Shane and Daisy Moore and Zoe Hale; a brother, Theodore Angle III, of Danville; two sisters, Mary Angle Coploff and husband, Larry, of Lock Haven, Pa., and Jane Angle Keener, of Turbotville, Pa.; four nieces, Alexandra Angle, Margaret Notestine, Elizabeth French and Lucille Keener; and three nephews, Paul and Theodore Angle IV, and Reid Coploff.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Martha Angle Tucker; one nephew, Maxwell Tucker, and one niece, Donna Moser.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Nov. 26 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Greenville, N.C.
Internment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
