Deceased Name: Woonsocket GERMAINE GAMACHE
GERMAINE GAMACHE, 92, formerly of St. Germain Manor, 427 East School St., an opera singer in New York, Boston and Providence for many years before retiring, died Friday at Holiday Nursing Home, Lincoln, after a long illness. She was the widow of Thomas J. Gamache.
Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Alexis and Delia (Laplante) Ethier, she moved to Woonsocket 72 years ago.
Mrs. Gamache was a member of the St. Germain Manor Senior Citizens.
She leaves a son, Roger N. Gamache of North Smithfield; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Normand Gamache Sr., Hector Gamache and Rita Tardif.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the L & D Memorial Funeral Home, 85 Rathbun St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Louis Church, Rathbun Street. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
