Paul J. Gevry
Age: 84 ? East Windsor, CT
Paul J. Gevry, 84, died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 26. Paul was born January 23, 1933, in Addison, VT, the son of Valmore and Aurise (Lafontaine) Gevry. He was a loving family man. Paul grew up one of a large extended family which made him into the caring, selfless man that he became. All who came into contact with him loved him immediately. He served in the US Army. His love for cars and racing resulted in his becoming manager of PCA in East Hartford for many years. His infectious personality would quickly turn customers into family. After retiring, he continued to implement his hard working values and share his knowledge of cars while at Advanced Auto Parts in East Windsor until his passing. Paul was a treasured father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend which made him the greatest of all. Paul is survived by his daughter, Marie (Tom) Gist, of Enfield, CT, sons, Randy, Michael and Brian, of Virginia, and step-sons, Thomas and Mark Duchesneau of CT and Frank Duchesneau of CA. Also by his grandchildren, Justin, Ashley and Amber, as well as his brother, Robert of FL, and sisters, Yvette Field, Alice Cousino, Aline Kirk, Suzanne Gamache, Joanne Dusten of VT and Cecile Young of FL, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Gerry, Louis, Roland, Lawrence, Colombe, Bridget and Claire. A memorial service will be held April 22, 2017, from 1-5 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Upper Hall, 371 George Washington Road, Enfield, CT.
