Ronald C. Lavin, 79, of Lake Geneva, passed away Sunday, September 25, at the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn, WI. Ronald was born July 28, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the son of Robert and Ida Kutz Lavin. He graduated from Lake Geneva High School, Class of 1956. Ronald served in the U.S. Army, and was employed 18 years by Quality Carriers as a truck driver, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Lake Geneva Volunteer Fire Dept. for 23 years; Past President of the Saints Car Club Rods and Customs; and the Wisconsin Southern Lakes Riders Motor Cycle Club. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Vickie (Kevin) Corkhill, Janesville, WI, and Brenda Gamache of Lake Geneva; and a son, Ronald C. (Lisa) Lavin II; grandchildren: Melissa (Mark) Skala, Jessica Clapper, Benjamine and Katelyn Gamache and Ian Corkhill; great-grandchildren: Jarek Kraavanger, Maci, Marli and Marshall Skala; and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29 at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Richard Collier officiating. Burial with full military rites will be at the Hudson Cemetery, Lyons, WI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the STEINKE FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Services.
