FEEDING HILLS - Sara "Sally" S. (Greco) Gamache-LaPierre, 87, died at the home of her caregiver Darleen St. Jacques on Saturday April 15, 2006 in Feeding Hills. She was born in Feeding Hills on September 5, 1918 the daughter of the late Rocco and Florence (Grimaldi) Greco. She is survived by her son, Glen Gamache; and her grand-children, Dean and Anna Gamache of Albuquerque, NM. She was predeceased by her first husband; Rudolph Gamache in 1967, and her second husband; Joseph LaPierre in 1977. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Francis, Charles, and Richard Greco; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Greco. She is also survived by her brother, William and his wife Winifred of Chicopee; her sisters, Lydia Martignetti and her husband Anthony, Lena Mallette and her husband Andre, Betty Baszak and her husband Antoni, all of Feeding Hills; many loving nieces and nephews, and her care givers; Darleen St. Jacques and her husband Raymond and Debra Slattery and her husband Bill. Sally resided in East Longmeadow and Suffield, CT. After retirement as a waitress at the formers State Caterers and Koffee Tyme restaurant, she returned to her home in Feeding Hills. Sally enjoyed her friends and activities at the Agawam Senior Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 19th beginning at 9 a.m. from the Colonial-Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 1103 Springfield St., with Rites of Committal to follow in Springfield Street Cemetery, Springfield St., all in Agawam. Visitation will precede the service on Wednesday from 8-9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sally's memory to the Agawam Senior Center Building Fund, 57 Wright St., Agawam, MA 01001.
