Dianne Mary Collins Squires of the Woodlands passed away surrounded by her family on July 26, 2017 after a brief illness. She was 82 years old. Dianne is survived by her daughter, Laura Coleman and husband Rod of Madison, MS and three sons, Paul and wife Melissa Bauman of Houston, Jimmy and wife Rana of Victoria and Bobby and wife Teresa of Houston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Hale Squires, Jr of Conroe. Dianne was born and grew up in Detroit, Michigan where from an early age she showed a flair for music and became an accomplished pianist. She won many competitions and appeared on television. Dianne met Claude at Shell Oil in Detroit, MI and they married in 1955. They lived in Boston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Tulsa and Wyckoff, NJ before moving to Conroe where they lived for 23 years in River Plantation. Dianne's life was dedicated to raising her 4 children. After Claude's passing in 1993, she moved to The Woodlands and stayed active in the community volunteering for various causes and particularly enjoyed playing the piano at area retirement communities on behalf of Interfaith of the Woodlands. She loved animals and gardening. She valued her independence and keeping up with her families lives. A private graveside service will be held next Monday July 31st and a visitation will be held for friends of the family at Cashner Funeral Home Sunday July 30th from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Interfaith of the Woodlands.
