Jerome was born November 21, 1967 in Kahokia, Illinois to the late Gaylord and Josephine (Lamontia) Powell. Survivors of Jerome include his children, Simone' Powell, Patricia Powell, and Maximo Powell; brothers, Joseph Powell, Thomas (Laurie) Powell, Daniel Powell, Sam Powell; sisters, Katherine (Gary) Koen, Diana (Bobbie Lee) Caldwell, Rita (Robert) Bagnall, Mary ?Meffy? (Steve) Gamache, Patricia DeGeyter, and Cecilia (Michael) Brendel; and many nieces and nephews. Jerome honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy where he was a Boatswain's mate for 8 years and a heavy crane trainer for 3 years. He was employed with Edward Rose & Son for many years. Jerome was a small and large gun aficionado. Visitation for Jerome is at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Rd. where a Funeral Ceremony will take place at 6:15pm.
