  Died: Sophia Helen Panasiuk Obituary Sophia Helen Panasiuk passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father, William; mother, Stephanie; and brother, Bernie. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Poa; and cat, Rory; as well as numerous family and friends. Sophia will be remembered with much love and admiration for her strength and determination by all who knew her. Sophia loved to travel. She loved nature, and hiking with Mount Robson being a favoured destination. She also loved the Toronto Blue jays and would fly to see them play before she became ill. Her love of life and God helped her battle to stay alive. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 22, 2026, in the Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.
