  [S5] Obituary. Christian was born in Norway to parents Martin and Karen Olson. He came to North Dakota in 1908 and resided in Sheyenne most of his life. He clerked at the Garnaas Brothers Store for many years. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Sheyenne. He was married to Hulda Anderson the daughter of P. A. Anderson, on 24 Apr 1913. They were the parents of seven children: Harold Strand, Millard Strand, Virgil Strand, Arnold Strand, Robert Raymond Strand, Marion Mrs. John Ziga, Marlys Mrs. Ray Gamache and Lois Mrs. Axel Nielsen.
