SN Rick Gamache was killed on June 23, 2001. He was shot twice in the chest in Chesapeake, VA.. I can say for myself I always had a good time going out with "THE GAMACH". May he rest in peace. JD Long received word from his father.
Police have identified a suspect in the shooting death of Rick Gamache who was found Saturday morning in a grassy field. Police issued a warrant for the arrest of 38-year-old James Bold, also known as James Kelly, who will face a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Richard Gamache. Police were called to the 1800 block of Jolliff Road after someone called 911 to report that they had heard shots. When officers arrived, they found the victim. He was pronounced dead at the site.

Richard E. Gamache Jr. of Chesapeake died Saturday, June 24, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Siobhan Gamache; his son, Richard Lee Gamache; his father, Richard E. "Sarge" Gamache Sr.; stepmother, Betty Wingfield Gamache; grandfather, Ovila Gamache; grandmother, Florence Byrnes; half-sister, Debra Klein; aunt, Barbara Kusterer; uncle, Julius Holder; and cousins, Karen Hall, Jackie Pernell, Lisa Bekiewicz, Mario, Victor, Anitra and Erica Kusterer, Thomas, Ronald and Yvonne Holder. A memorial service will be held Wesdneday, 7 p.m., at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd. The family will receive friends one hour before service.
