  [S5] Obituary. Jeannine A. "Jan" Chatigny, 85, of Fogarty Manor and formerly of York Ave. Entered into eternal life on October 16, 2015 after an illness. She was the wife of the late Richard W. "Dick" Chatigny. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Arthur and Angelina (Gamache) Brais and lived most of her life in Pawtucket. Jan and her husband founded the R. W. Chatigny Funeral Home on Central Ave. in Pawtucket and operated it for more than 50 years. Mr. Chatigny passed away in 1999 and Jan continued to operate the facility until illness forced her retirement. The R. W. Chatigny Funeral Home is still in operation at 151 Cross St. in Central Falls under the direction of Charles Coelho. Jan is survived by two nephews, Stephen Brais and his wife Pattie, William Brais and a niece Suzanne Douglas, 5 Grand Nephews and Nieces, Donald Brais, Amanda and Sammie Douglas, Cory and Tara Trudeau and a Godchild, Dr. Michaela Bertch all in California and numerous cousins. She was the aunt of the late Carleen Trudeau. Her Funeral will be held Monday October 26, 2015 at 11 AM from the R. W. Chatigny and Charles Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held at NOON in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive Seekonk. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. VISITATION at the Funeral Home will begin that morning from 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, it was Jan's request, that memorial donations be made to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Interment at Bourne National Cemetery, will be private.
