Deceased Name: Mary E. Gamache
Mary Elizabeth "Bessie" Hughes-Gamache, 88, of Terre Mar Drive, formerly of Sand Hill Cove Road, Narragansett, owner of the former Mary Elizabeth Gift Shop in Narragansett and South Kingstown for 53 years before retiring in 1979, died Tuesday at home. She was the widow of James M. Gamache. She was also the widow of Bernard L. Hughes.
Mrs. Gamache was sister of the late Grace DeFanti and Rudolph Smith.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, Tower Hill Road. A committal service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, South Kingstown.
