Patricia A. Horzen
Patricia A. Horzen, age 64 of 1821 Carmen Ave., Sheboygan, died shortly after 3 p.m., the hour of Divine Mercy, at her residence on Sunday, May 22, 2005.
Patricia was born Aug. 28, 1940, in Sheboygan to the late Peter and Corrine (Thomas) Maratik. She attended local schools, graduating from Sheboygan Central in 1959.
On Nov. 25, 1961, she married Frank J. Horzen at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
She was employed at Thomas Industries for 25 years. As her health declined, she continued to stay busy with special projects. She began doing embroidery work, which included knitting dish sets, Christmas stockings and tree skirts for family and friends. She will always be remembered as an excellent cook and baker.
Patricia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish in Kohler.
In addition to her husband, Frank, Patricia is survived by her sons, Frank J. Horzen IV (fiancée, Delma Alegria) and Michael J. Horzen (fiancée, Debra Stegeman); her daughters, Christine Horzen and Patti (Stu) Bloom. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon, Michael, Michelle, Tony, Anna, Christopher, Justin and Zach; her three brothers, Peter (Pauline) Maratik, Paul (LuAnn) Maratik and James (Linda) Maratik. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Ann, and a brother, Thomas Maratik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler. The Rev. Thomas Lijewski, pastor, will be the celebrant. Friends may call at Zimmer Funeral Home, 805 N. Sixth St., Sheboygan, TODAY, from 4 p.m. until the time of a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Cremation has taken place at Westview.
Burial of the urn will follow services on Thursday at Greendale Cemetery.
Patricia?s family would like to thank Dr. Michael Johnson and the St. Nicholas Hospital Home Health and Hospice Nurse Terri Sterzen for their compassionate care during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to a memorial fund established in her name.
