  [S5] Obituary. Duane Leroy Menart, 80, of Northbrook, IL, died peacefully on February 11, 2017 at Brentwood North Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Riverwoods, IL. Duane was born in Cooley, MN to John and Ione Menart on February 4, 1937. He attended Nashwauk High School, Nashwauk MN. He met and married the love of his life Jean Marjorie Briesemeister on February 7, 1959 in Hibbing, MN. He worked primarily in sales at Deublin Company, retiring after 34 years. Duane loved cars, and enjoyed a long drive, but He especially loved being with his grandchildren, and family. He leaves his daughters, Julie Menart, Patti Menart, Jill Ganan and husband Jordan, plus three grandchildren, Matthew Menart (Patti), Mikayla and Seth Ganan. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Jean, in 2016. The memorial service is planned for February 25, 2017 at 10:30 am at Northern Illinois Funeral Services, 31632 N. Ellis Drive, Unit 209, Volo, IL 60073. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow at his daughter's home in Grayslake, IL. To plant trees in memory, please visit our Sympathy Store.
