MYERS, HELEN KEATING Helen Keating Myers, 87, of East Haven, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late J. Wesley Myers. She was born in New Haven on February 13, 1928 to the late Richard M. and Helen Gamache Keating. Helen was very active and a parishioner of St. Vincent dePaul Church, a member of the Widow and Widowers Group at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, and was an accomplished bridge player, playing with the Harbour Village Bridge Club, the Branford Bridge Club and the Singles Intermediate Bridge Club. She was also a member of the Class of 45? from Commercial High School in New Haven and loved to exercise with the Shape Up Seniors. She leaves two sons, Wesley R. (Sarah) Myers of Branford, Douglas F. (Jean) Myers of Durham, four daughters, Kathleen M. (Bill) Higgins of Hamden, Celia M. (Robert) Wanat of East Haven, Judy M. (Bob) Sembler of Madison and Betty Myers-DeLise of Branford. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Corinne C. Hogan. Funeral will leave the EAST HAVEN MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708, Monday morning at 10:30 for a Funeral Mass at St. Vincent dePaul Church at 11 am. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent dePaul School Scholarship Fund, 35 Bishop St., East Haven, CT 06512.
