Normand R. Gamache, age 80, of Somerset, MA; passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Fall River, MA; and was the son of the late Alberic Gamache and the late Louisa (Charron) Gamache. He worked as a supervisor at Chace Curtains for many years and was a self-employed contractor and proprietor of Norm?s Remodeling until his retirement age 60. He also served in the U.S. Naval Reserve, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Muriel of 59 years, a daughter Melanie J. Hepler, and her husband Chuck, of Leesburg, Florida, a son Brian T. Gamache, of Somerset, MA; 2 grandchildren Lauren and Thomas, and 3 great grandchildren, Mya Nicole, Bryton and Destin Ritter of Thomasboro, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather to the late Jeremy D. Russell and brother to the late Vivian Desmarais and the late Andre Gamache of Fall River. Normand?s memorial funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10:00AM, at St. John Of God Church, 996 Brayton Avenue, Somerset, MA. Interment will be at Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset. Family will receive friends and relatives prior to mass.
