COSTA RICA - Claude M. Gamache, 70, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 in Costa Rica. Born July 23, 1937 in St. Jean-Port-Joli Canada, he was the son of the late Armand and Juliette (Bernier) Gamache. He and his family moved to Springfield, MA in 1948. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy retiring as a chief petty officer. Upon his retirement from the Navy he moved to Edgewater, Florida where he owned the Anchor Garage. Claude moved to Playas del Coco Costa Rica 20 years ago. He was predeceased by his two brothers Albert and Pierre Gamache and two sisters Aline Fafard and Jeannine Parenteau. He leaves his wife Antonia and two step sons Juan and Eddie of Costa Rica. He also leaves three brothers Jean-Paul of Wales, Denis of Brimfield and Philippe of Feeding Hills, five sisters, Rita Aucion of Chicopee, Paulette Marra of Easthampton, Huguette Westman of Missouri, Lise Trembley of Ludlow and Giselle Varney of Monson.
