Sun, The (Lowell, MA) - Monday, May 18, 2015 Deceased Name: Lucinda Mary (Gamache) Merrill Lucinda Mary (Gamache) Merrill of Lowell, MA; age 99 LOWELL, MA -- Lucinda Mary (Gamache) Merrill, 99, died peacefully at D'Youville Senior Care Center on May 8, 2015. Lucinda was born on March 25, 1916 in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Eugenie (Poirier) Gamache. Lucinda was the widow of the late Charles C. Merrill who passed in 1992. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Paul Gamache of Lowell, and a brother-in-law, Rosario Lacourse, also of Lowell. She is survived by her two sisters, Rita Lacourse and Jacqueline Chartrand of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Merrill was educated in Lowell Public Schools. She worked for Lowell Lingere for over 25 years. She loved to travel, crochet and spent time with her two sisters. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of D'Youville for their care and kindness, and special thanks to all the Hospice volunteers. MERRILL -- Mrs. Merrill will be interred with her beloved husband at the Bay Pines National Cemetery, in Bay Pines, Florida. A memorial service shall be held in the near future.
