McGeough, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the love of his daughters on January 31, 2026. Born in Albany on November 6, 1947, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Gillespie) McGeough. He was a life long area resident and attended local schools, graduating from Albany High School. Tom enjoyed a steady career of over 40 years of service as a cable television technician, working for Capital Cable Vision then Time Warner Cable. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his wife, Ruth, in 2004 and second wife, Vikki DeMase in 2020. He is survived by his daughters, Julie Hecht (Jeffrey) of Clifton Park and Elizabeth McGeough-Gamache (David) of Colonie; his brother, Phillip McGeough (Patricia); and grandchildren, Jackson and Gabrielle Hecht and Ethan and Payton McGeough-Gamache. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 7 at Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany from 9 to 10 am followed by a Service of Remembrance at 10 am before continuing on to St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
