Barbara Jean (Dunn) Gamache, 55, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died on Monday, December 1, 2014, at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Thomas E. Gamache; they had been married for 30 years. Born and raised in Middleboro, she was daughter of the late Edward J. and Marcella R. (Leary) Dunn. She was a graduate of Middleboro High School. Barbara Jean had many jobs, last of which was a care-giver for various nursing homes. She had a passion for caring for the elderly. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. She loved camping in NH, fishing, and spending time with her granddaughters. She will be warmheartedly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Thomas; two daughters, Shaunna and her husband Keith Mott of Taunton, Tayla E. Gamache of NY; two brothers, Robert Dunn of Lakeville, James Dunn of Fairhaven; two sisters, Patty Jolly of Middleboro, Diane Dubourd of FL; two granddaughters, Keely and Elliana Mott, both of Taunton; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 9th from 4-8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St., Middleboro on Wednesday, December 10th at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, Middleboro.
