November 12, 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Adel Gamache, surrounded by her loving family on November 12, 2024, following a series of health challenges. Sharon was 77 years old. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her family: her sons, Jeff and Mike Gamache, daughter-in-law Liz Gamache, grandchildren Caroline and Joshua Gamache; her daughter, Dawne Gamache (Jack), and granddaughter Addyson. Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Joanne, Don, and John Kuchka. For over 40 years, Sharon was a dedicated waitress who found great joy in greeting her customers and making them feel at home. Her creativity and love for the holidays shone brightly as she decorated the restaurant each season, spreading cheer to all who visited. She also had a passion for making vibrant flower planters in the spring and summer, bringing beauty to her surroundings. Sharon was known for her fun-loving, adventurous spirit and wasn?t afraid to embrace her ?wild child? side. Her family fondly referred to her as ?Baddy Grandma,? a name she carried with pride as she made every moment with her loved ones unforgettable. Outside of work, Sharon found fulfillment in volunteering to transport animals in need and bringing her compassionate spirit to those around her. But above all, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. Her warmth, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Sharon?s life was a testament to love, creativity, and selfless giving. As we celebrate her remarkable journey, let us carry her memory in our hearts and continue to honor her by spreading kindness and joy to others. Harwich had dreamed of watching the spectacle since she was a little girl, and her mother was determined to make her wish come true. From Miami, several flights and car rides were necessary to get to the remote fir forests of Michoacán in central Mexico, where monarchs migrate to every November. Mom and daughter would still have to hike for several hours to reach the spot where the butterflies huddle together by the millions on the branches of fir trees. At the beginning of the trail, Marina hurt her ankle but insisted that her daughter continue along with the guide while she waited in the car. 7762	She was born in Minnesota in 1903 and came to the Yakima Valley at an early age. In Moxee City, she met her future husband, Aime 'Peter' Regimbal and they were married in 1923. In 1925, her husband and his brothers Xavier and Donat, constructed a concrete building which over the years served Moxee City as a grocery store. Aime also served a term as mayor. In March of 1931 Viola gave birth to their first child, Patrick Aime. In November, she gave birth to another boy, Michael. In 1945, 14 and a half year old Patrick died; 8 months later, her husband passed. She erected a single monument to them both and they are buried together. Viola died in Ketchikan, Alaska in 1971. She died in 1946 in Evanston, Cook, Illinois. Anna had 4 children by a local postman, Hans Jorgen Evensen, who was born in 1803 and 26 years her senior. He was from Drammen in Buskerud, Norway. Her children are as listed; Herman Jorgen Immanuel Eversen was born March 23, 1857. He was called George Jefferson and married Signe Markussen. Gustav Adolph Edemann Evensen was born May 9, 1862. He was called Edward Jefferson and was married to Minnie Schwartz and Margaret McCabe in Chicago, Illinois. Amalie Gurine Alette Ellefine Evensen was born May 27, 1866. She was called Alvina in the U.S. and married George Lee. Augusta Alette Ellevine Evensen was born February 10, 1859. She died young. He had been a patient for a week. He was born on Aug. 8, 1884, in Yugoslavia, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Mohar. He came to this country in 1908. On Feb. 4, 1914, he married the former Johanna Nagode in Sheboygan. Mr. Mohar was a charter member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, a member of KSKJ, SS. Cyril and Methodius Society, and the American Slovenian Organization. He is survived by two sons, Carl Jr., union business agent for Carpenters and Joiners Local 657, and Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Isabella) Knocke, all of Sheboygan; 18 grandchildren and a great- grandchild. The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church by the Rev. Louis Koren, pastor. Brief family rites will be held at 9:30 at the Gerend-Habermann Funeral Home, with burial in Greendale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. 7766	Sheboygan Press, Monday, July 18, 1966 FRANK HORZEN - Frank Horzen, Sr., 86, of 1520 Main Ave., died Sunday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital following a short illness. A native of Yugoslavia, he was born May 8, 1880, a son of the late Antoine and Mary Horzen. Mr. Horzen lived in Sheboygan since coming to the United States in 1904. He married the former Jennie Menart at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church on Oct. 27, 1914. Fr 13 years, he was an employee of the Vollrath Co. He also worked for various local furniture factories prior to his retirement in 1949. Mr. Horzen was a charter member of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church and a member of the church Holy Name Society, and the S.N.P.J. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Frank, Jr. of Sheboygan; three daughters, Miss Alvina Horzen of Racine, Mrs. Byron (Betty Jane) King of Oshkosh and Mrs. Myron (Mary Rose) Ferris of East Africa; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 7770	Sherry Marie (Gamache) Adams, 67, went to be with her Savior on May 18, 2014 after a valiant fight with lung disease from exposure to asbestosis. She passed away peacefully in her home and was surrounded by love, faith and family. She was born on April 10, 1947 in Libby, Montana, the daughter of Peggy June Owen Evans and Leroy Louis Gamache. Sherry was raised by her mother Peggy and great-grandmother Emma Evans. She was united in marriage to Duane Leon Anderson on August 5, 1963 in Bonners Ferry, ID and they made their home in Libby. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Leon Earl Anderson, born in 1964 and Amber Lynne Anderson, born in 1968. Her loving husband Duane passed away on June 17, 1987 in Seattle, Washington. In the spring of 1989 Sherry decided to begin a new chapter in her book of life and moved to Sedro-Woolley, WA where most of her siblings resided. There she met Daniel Adams and the two were joined in heart and marriage on November 29, 1992. Dan and Sherry spent 22 years living life to the fullest doing all their favorite things. Sherry loved making a home for Dan and herself. She had a passion for life, cooking, gardening, being Dan's biker babe on the back of his Harley, black powder shooting at rendezvous, going to the gym, camping, beading, crocheting, having a glass of wine with friends and always in her heart and on her mind was love for her family. Sherry was the family historian. We are thankful for her interest and the ancestry trail she created. She carried the blood of the Cherokee Nation with a bit of the Hatfield persuasion. She was very proud of both. She was the elder sister to brothers Donald Moritz and Norman Moritz. She is survived by her two sons, Charles and Richard, Richard?s wife Susan, her granddaughter Jessica, and her brother Donald Moritz. Shirle was joyously married for 64 years to Robert Goldstone, who preceded her in death 10 years ago. She attended art school in New York City before working as a commercial artist for Kaufman?s and Cox?s department stores in the Pittsburgh area. Sister Ione was born to Clarence and Louise (Hobig) Gamache in Duluth, Minn. She entered St. Rose Convent on Aug. 13, 1933, and professed first vows in 1936. Having earned a bachelor degree in English and art education, Sister Ione taught for 37 years in schools in Iowa, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. After leaving the classroom she served for 12 years in various ministries in Superior, Wis., including nursing assistant, activities director, art work, bible study and prayer groups. From 1979 to 1981, Sister Ione was Activities Director at Villa St. Joseph. In 1987 she moved to Minneapolis where she pursued her art work and worked with the residents of Lyndale Manor until her retirement to Villa St. Joseph in 1997. Sister Ione was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Herbert, George and Francis; and two sisters, Agnes and Kathleen. Friends may call after 3:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, when the body will be met at St. Rose Convent. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. in Mary of the Angels Chapel. The Rev. Sister Rolande was born on December 29, 1915, in Olga, ND, to Arthur and Hermedianne (Beauchamp) Gamache. She attended grade school in Olga. She professed her vows as a Sister of Mary of the Presentation on February 9, 1935, in Broons, France. She left the community in 1968 and reentered the community in 1997. She professed her vows again on March 6, 1999. Most of her years in Religious Community were spent as a cook for the Sisters, namely at Oakwood, Valley City, Willow City, Oakes, Bottineau, Rolla and Spring Valley, IL. She also worked as a cook at the hospital in Harvey. She retired at Maryvale in 1999. Sister Rolande is survived by her Religious Community, the Sisters of the Presentation; three brothers: Isadore of Grand Forks, Leonard of Spokane, WA, and Edward (Pat) of Maple Lake, MN; two sisters: Helen Davidson and Marilyn Carl, both of Grand Forks; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Remro, Ronald, Jackie and Wayne; sisters: Dorothy, Aurice, Theresa and Irene. The Funeral Mass for Sister Rolande is tentatively scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2009, in Maryvale Convent Chapel. 7799	SN Rick Gamache was killed on June 23, 2001. He was shot twice in the chest in Chesapeake, VA.. I can say for myself I always had a good time going out with "THE GAMACH". May he rest in peace. JD Long received word from his father. Police have identified a suspect in the shooting death of Rick Gamache who was found Saturday morning in a grassy field. Police issued a warrant for the arrest of 38-year-old James Bold, also known as James Kelly, who will face a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Richard Gamache. Police were called to the 1800 block of Jolliff Road after someone called 911 to report that they had heard shots. When officers arrived, they found the victim. He was pronounced dead at the site.
