  Died: Doris grew up on her family's farm. She went to rural school, and later graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1944. On June 19 of the same year she married Clarence, ultimately having five children together. The couple lived in Chicago for a short period and during that time Doris worked for Sears. The two returned to live in Wisonsin, but also had a home in Florida where they liked to spend the winters. After Clarence passed, Doris chose to stay at the farm in Wisconsin rather than return to Florida. Doris was an active member of Elim Lutheran Church located in Range. Her hobbies included growing roses, making quilts, and baking pies & angel food cakes. It's said that when guests came to call they could expect to be welcomed with her homemade goodies.
