  Notes	Sponsored Baptism of Clifford Nelson King Married: Ironwood (Mich) Daily Globe Thursday, October 27, 1938, p.9 SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY L'Anse - Mr. and Mrs. Frank Collins of L'Anse observed their sixtieth wedding anniversary. A special nuptial High Mass in Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Fr. Pelissier was given in honor of the couple. Fr. Pelissier, assisted by the choir, rendered special music for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Collins were married Oct. 27, 1878 in the rectory of the Catholic parish before the first church was erected, which was on upper Railroad Street at the rear of the present Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Fr. TerHorst of the mission at Assinins performed the ceremony. Eighteen children blessed this union, 10 of whom are living. There are 36 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Collins are still living in the home the young bridegroom had prepared for his bride. Both represent two of the oldest families of the country, Mrs. Collins being a daughter Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Duquette who came from Canada with their family in 1875 and took up farming on the Baraga side. Collins belonged to the Belanger-Collins family who came from Canada in the early '70s and settled in L'Anse. Collins was first employed on the M.H.and O. railroad and for the last 35 years has been head caretaker at the court house. He is a charter member of teh first fire company in L'Anse and now a retired honorary member.
