Gamache, 83, of 61 Canterbury Road, a contracts administrator for the Defense Supply Agency in Hartford for 33 years, died Thursday at home. He retired 21 years ago. Born in Arborfield, Saskatchewan, he was the president of his senior class, a graduate of New Bedford High School, and a longtime resident here. He leaves his wife of 60 years, the former Claire Lewis; two sons, Allen A. of Paxton, and David M. of Springfield; a sister, Blanche G. LeBlanc of New Bedford; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday morning at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. There are no calling hours at Sampson Chapel of the Acres, and memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 49, 19 Hall St., Springfield, 01108.
