  Died: Maude was born: Maude Edna Robert (Robair), Daughter of Emily V Robert of Minnesota, and seems to be an illegitimate birth. Emily's father was Joseph Robert of St Louis, Mo. Maude grew up in Bismarck North Dakota. She was the step daughter of Samuel B Norton of Bismark. She adopted the name Norton, but doesn't appear to have ever lived with her mother after Emily married Mr. Norton. Mr Norton makes no claims to her in any record.
