  Died: Schene, Betty Jean (nee Mooney), 80, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Mercy Hospital due to heart failure. Wife of the late Jerry Schene. Dear Mother of Kathy Freeman (Pat), Glen Schene (Sally), Pam Schmieder (Doug), Patti Schene, Steve Schene (Rebecca), and the late Susan Hofer. Grandmother of twelve and Great Grandmother of eight. Born and raised in St. Louis, Betty graduated from Ladue High School in 1953. She married her husband, Jerry Schene, in 1955. Her greatest joy was her family. Funeral service Mon., Feb. 15, 10 am at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 5252 S. Lindberg Blvd., Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation Sat. 3-8 pm at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood.
