(Audette) Halverson, 91, Duluth, formerly of Adolph, died Oct. 4, 2008 at St. Lukes Hospital She was born in Duluth on May 4, 1917 to Ernest and Ellen Audette and had lived in the Adolph-Hermantown area for 50 years. Virginia was a 1935 graduate of Denfeld High School and later married David B. Halverson on Sept. 30, 1940. She was a life long member of Bethany Lutheran Church, was a member of its Naomi Circle and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1974; brother, Gorden; and sister, Marguerite Tollefson. Virginia is survived by her son, David Jr.(Evelyn), Hermantown; grandchildren, Ernest Halverson, St. Cloud, Kimberly (Darcy) Neigum, Bismarck, N.D., Brenda (Dan) Gamache, New Richmond, Wis., Bonnie Lou ("Z") Goebel, Duluth; and great grandchildren, Emma and Aaron Neigum, Bismarck, N.D. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home and continues from 11 a.m. until the 12 Noon Funeral Service Thursday in Bethany Lutheran Church, Duluth. Burial at Bethany Cemetery.
