Deceased Name: Joseph M. Sullivan, 67
Joseph M. Sullivan, 67, a Maynard resident for over 38 years, died of cancer on July 4 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
He was the husband of Jan (Langill) Sullivan.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Maurice F. and Catherine (Callinan) Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and was employed as a manager in the data processing industry, most recently with Commercial Union in Foxborough until his retirement in October 1999.
He was a member of several fraternal organizations, but devoted most of his time and efforts to the Acton Lions Club, of which he was a member for over 30 years. During his term as president, Acton was the top rated club of the year. He also loved to travel and spend time with his family.
In addition to his wife, with whom he would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in October, he is survived by two children Colleen Gamache and her husband Rick of Litchfield, N.H.; a son Matthew J. Sullivan of Marlborough and three granddaughters.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on July 8 in St. Isidore's Church, Stow. Interment will be private.
