Linwood Johnson
SCARBOROUGH - A great man, Linwood Johnson, known to friends and family affectionately as "Linny," was received by God at 6:37 a.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.
He was a proud veteran of the Unites States Navy, serving during the Korean conflict.
Linny is survived by his wife of 40 years, Candice C. McLaughlin Johnson; and his sons, Michael E. Johnson, and Linwood E. Johnson, Jr., and daughters Sunny A.E. Johnson Russo, Linette E. Gamache, Laureen N. Johnson.
There will be a graveside service at the New VA Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, on June 9, 2015. at 10 a.m. After the graveside services, there will be a gathering at Hyatt Old Port, in the Glass Lounge, 433 Fore St., Portland, from 1-4 p.m.
