Obituary
Joseph A. Gamache, Jr. of Burlington Township passed away Wednesday September 18, 2019 at the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice Center in Mt. Holly at the age of 74. Born in Ashville, NC. Mr. Gamache was a longtime resident of Iselin before moving to Burlington Township. He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement he worked as a consultant for the Oracle Corp. developing software for the military. Joseph was a member of the American Legion Post 12 in Somerville, NJ. He was an avid golfer who loved reading, traveling and spending time with his family. He was very involved with his grandchildren often getting them to and from school and attending their functions and activities. They were truly one of the joys of his life. Joseph was predeceased by his father Joseph A. Gamache, Sr. and his sister Judy Easterling. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Diane (nee Toupet) Gamache, his daughter and son in law Kimberly and Lee Walker, his grandchildren Ethan, Caleb and Molly Walker, his mother Alice (nee Carvalho) Gamache, his sister and brother in law Peggy and Gary Mayer, his sister in law Sue Sanford, his brother in law Harry Toupet and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday September 23, 2019 in St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington.
