MARY KLAVZAR-ALONSO Mary Frances Klavzar-Alonso, 68, formerly of Warren, Ohio, passed away with her family by her side at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, March 08, 2007, at Nathan Adelson Hospice following a lengthy illness. Mary was born April 15, 1938, in Fowler, Ohio, the daughter of John and Josephine Klavzar (Grohal). A 10 year resident of Las Vegas, she graduated from Fowler High School in Ohio. Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister and a friend who enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and socializing with friends. She also enjoyed the Las Vegas lifestyle and desert living. She is survived by her husband, of 48 years, Onesimo (Ness) Alonso; daughter, Christina L. Alonso-Sheldon of Las Vegas; sons, Mark E. Alonso of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Richard N. Alonso of Las Vegas. She also leaves a sister, Pauline Nelson of Warren, Ohio; and brother, Edward Klavzar of Escondido, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Dorthy Gardner of Cortland, Ohio. A memorial service with Pastor Ron Flores will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Meadows Church, 7801 W. Alexander Road, in Las Vegas, in remembrance and celebration of Mary's life. The family suggests material contributions be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 3391 N. Buffalo Las Vegas, NV 89129.
