  [S5] Obituary. Sarah Civil Shadwell was born in 1862 a daughter of John Richard and Nancy(Manuel) Shadwell. She was married two times. First marriage was to John William Devall, married to Sarah Shadwell on December 7, 1879 in Effingham. Some records show they were parents of four children. They were Ora Belle, Nancy Anna, Nora Mae and John William. After John Devalls death in 1888, Sarah married Benjamine F.Cook on December 3, 1891. Some records show that Sarah and Benjamine were parents of 6 children. They were Henry, Luther, Bert, Eva, Daisy and Gladys.
