LUCILLE BARBATO OBITUARY
BARBATO, Lucille Carmella (Mazzola) Passed away on September 4, 2022. She was the wife of Donald Joseph Barbato. They shared 40 years of marriage together. Born on May 16, 1957 in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Columbus Mazzola and Lorraine Mazzola (Gamache) of Newton. She graduated Newton North in 1975. She spent 40 years as the face of Don's Auto in Waltham, MA. Lucille will be remembered for her caring and listening nature. She was always available to take a phone call and help her family and friends. She was a woman of few words, but many gestures. Lucille enjoyed day trips with her friends through the White Mountains and other local scenic drives. She always gave the best presents. She loved playing games, but only if she knew she could win! Lucille is survived by her husband Donny of Watertown, MA; their twin sons, Joseph Barbato of Somerville and David Barbato of Nashua, NH; her mother, Lorraine Mazzola of Newton; and sister Michelle Mazzola of Fall River, MA. She also leaves behind Camden and Jackson Magni who were like cherished grandchildren to her. She leaves behind many friends and family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Lucille's life by gathering for Visiting Hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St., WATERTOWN, on Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM and again on Thursday at 9 AM, followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church.
