  [S5] Obituary. HAUKE GEORGE HENRY October 11, 1924 - November 1, 2014. Born in Detroit to Henry and Eleanor (Duquette) Hauke, George served in France in WWII. At the end of the war he was sent to the College of the Americas in Biarritz, France. Returning home in 1946 he met and married his beloved wife of 60 years, Jean Latrecha "Pat" Teehan. He attended the University of Detroit on the GI Bill and was senior cost analyst for 33 years at Ford Motor Company, River Rouge. They retired to East Jordan, enjoying family campfires and teaching grandchildren to fish. He passed away at home. George loved fishing, camping, family reunions, bagpipe music and visiting family sites in Ripley, Ohio and Pelkie in the UP. A gentle man with a witty sense of humor, George was predeceased by his wife Jean. He is celebrated by his children David (Becky), Christine (Marvin Grahn), Mark, and Timothy (Amy); grandchildren Ashley (Curtis Boyd), Theodore, Michael and Alexandra; and great-grandchild McKenzie. Of his six siblings he is survived by Frank, Richard, Margaret and Kathryn as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins all well-loved and enjoyed by him. The family will have a private celebration of life and encourage family and friends to drop a fishing line or raise a toast to a long life, well-lived. Donations may be made to Hospice of NW Michigan or your own charity. Cards & stories are welcomed by his family.
