  [S5] Obituary. Portland Press Herald (ME) - Wednesday, October 11, 2000 Deceased Name: GRACIA L. BENOIT, 90 Gracia L. Benoit, 90, of Skolfield House died Oct. 10, 2000, at Mid Coast Hospital. She was born here, a daughter of John and Marie Martin Dehetre, and attended St. John's School. She married Henry L. Benoit on Sept. 2, 1929. He died Dec. 19, 1977. Mrs. Benoit was a homemaker and later worked at the Verney Mill, formerly the Cabot Mill, until it closed in 1955. She worked at Auerbach Shoe as a skiver until retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. A granddaughter, Lucy A. Gamache, died on June 20, 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Nancy) Gamache of Brunswick, and Mrs. Ronald (Viola) Knight of Bangor; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. today, at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A funeral Mass will be celebration at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Church, Pleasant Street, followed by a burial in St. John's Cemetery. Edition: COAST Page: 9B
