1943-2025 - Died on June 18, 2025, Cap-Saint-Ignace.
Mr. Martin Gamache, husband of Mrs. Marcelle Fortin, passed away peacefully at the Montmagny Hospital on June 18, 2025, at the age of 82. He resided in Cap-Saint-Ignace.
Originally from L'Islet (Ville), he was the son of the late Eva Deschênes and the late Amédée Gamache, as well as the godson of the late Edith Deschênes and the late Emile St-Pierre.
Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his children: Julie (Éric Bélanger), Sébastien and Robert (Marie-Josée Ruest). He was also the father of the late Rémi.
He was the brother and brother-in-law of: the late Henriette (the late Joseph Marsicano), the late Françoise (the late Jean-Claude Gaudreau), the late Pierrette, Marguerite (Ludovic Fortin), Doris (Gérald Allaire), Lucille (the late Jean-Louis Deladurantaye), Irène (the late Alain Bernier), Lucie, Daniel and Mario Gamache (Thérèse Ferland and their daughter Emmy-Rose).
of the Fortin family: Fernand (Jacqueline Pelletier), Fernande, Éliane (Denis Lavoie), Carmella (late Louison Gallant), Desneiges, Yvette (late Roland Morneau), Cécile (Magella Caron) and Noëlla.
Also affected by his departure are several nephews and nieces, his cousins, other relatives and his friends, especially Benoit Morin and Hélène Lord.

Friday, July 4th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, July 5th from 9 a.m. The funeral without Eucharist (celebration of the Word) will take place on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in the church of Cap-Saint-Ignace.
His ashes will subsequently be buried in the parish cemetery of Cap-Saint-Ignace.
