Obituary of Camilla Molinari
Our beloved Camilla passed on peacefully to embark on her next adventure on November 18, 2009, just 15 months following her diagnosis of lung cancer. A resident of Los Altos for most on her life, she was born Camilla Wehr in Bogota, N.J. on November 10, 1923. She lived in Mill Valley then San Jose, graduated from San Jose High School, established her career, and met her husband to be, Earl Molinari, folk dancing. They enjoyed a 50-plus year marriage. Loving a supportive always, they raised 2 daughters and took part in the lives of their 3 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Camilla is survived by her children, Leah (Keith) Jones, Laura (David) Ludin, grandchildren Benjamin, Lucas and Carly, and by Camilla's half- siblings David (Nancy) Wehr, Paul (Christiane) Wehr, and Jeanine (Larry) Jones and their children and grandchildren. Camilla was employed by Varian Associates in Palo Alto for 22-plus years where she was a valued employee, well loved by her coworkers. Camilla will be remembered for her adventurous and fun-loving personality. She and her husband Carlo (Earl) continued dancing for many years and enjoyed trips through the U.S., Canada and Mexico, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Far East. After Carlo's passing, Camilla continued onto Africa, Egypt, and Israel. Camilla appreciated the many cultures she experienced on her travels and was a great lover of animals and photography. She delighted in sharing the many spectacular photos of animals that she took. Camilla will always be remembered for her artistic talents. Being the daughter of two artists, her artistry prevailed in her needlework and her love for growing flowers; she could make anything flourish. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on December 12th. Please contact family for more information. In Lieu of flowers, may we suggest a donation to Kaiser Hospice of Santa Clara or the American Cancer Society.
