Deceased Name: OBITUARY: Jean E. Fortier
MERRIMACK ? Jean E. (Cicone) Fortier, 76, passed away on Sept. 29, 2012, at the Community Hospice House. She was born on Dec. 2, 1935, in Brockton, Mass., daughter of Eugene and Eva (D'Amadio) Cicone.
Relocating to New Hampshire in 1971, Jean and her husband William raised four children. She was a dedicated and active member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Nashua, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She had a passion for teaching others and loved doting on her five grandchildren. Jean will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who had a great sense of humor.
She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Fortier in 2009 and a brother, Joseph Cicone. She is survived by four children, Kevin Fortier and Lisa, of Bedford, Joanne Gamache and Marc, of Bedford, Christopher Fortier of San Francisco, and Gregory Fortier and Sheri-Lynn, of Pembroke; grandchildren, William and Michael Fortier and Nicolas, Samuel and Kathryn Gamache, all of Bedford; brothers, Richard Cicone and Susan, of Raleigh, N.C., and Paul Cicone and Denise, of Taunton, Mass.; a sister, Patricia Sanderson and David, of Las Vegas; a sister-in-law, Mary Cicone of Brockton, Mass.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

services:Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 4:06 to 8:17 p.m. at Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
